Former FCT Minister Femi Fani-Kayode has condemned Nigeria as a “nation of perverts and paedophiles” after the country’s senators left in place a clause that legalizes child brides. 60 feared dead as gunmen attack in Zamfara State

As many as 60 people are feared dead in Zamfara State where an armed gang staged a deadly reprisal attack on a village on Tuesday morning, locals have said. The assailants, numbering about 150, stormed Kizara village in Tsafe Local Government Area, to hunt down members of a local vigilante group they claim have been disturbing them. 23 killed in fatal multiple auto crash in Zamfara

At least 23 people are feared dead following a fatal multiple accident involving a bus and a sedan vehicle in Zamfara state, officials have confirmed. According to a Daily Trust report, the accident happened along the Sokoto-Gusau road on Monday and the State Sector commandant of the Federal Road Safety, Mallam Ibrahim Sarki, said several other sustained injuries and are receiving treatment at a local hospital. Robbery gang kills 18 in Zamfara state

At least 18 people in the troubled village of Kubaro in the Dansadu emirate council of Zamfara state were reportedly killed on Tuesday after armed robbers attacked the village, the Daily Trust has reported. According to the report, a string of robbery attacks have plagued the area leaving scores of residents dead over the past year. Three Zamfara women in court for gripping man’s private part

NAN РAn Upper Sharia Court in Gusau, Zamfara State has granted bail to three women accused of gripping the manhood of one Abdurrahman Suleiman until he slumped. Officials have arrested an ex-soldier alleged to have sold arms and ammunition to warring factions in Plateau state and other parts of the restive north in Nigeria. Zamfara man receives 30 lashes and 1 year jail term for raping minor

NAN – An Upper Sharia Court at Gusau in Zamfara on Monday, sentenced a 36-year-old man, Saidu Abubakar, to one-year imprisonment and 30 strokes of the cane for raping a six-year-old girl. Delivering judgement on Monday, the Presiding Jude, Alhaji Sanusi Magami, said that Abubakar, having pleaded guilty to the offence, was convicted as charged.
