Hit-and-run driver kills 14 teenagers in Plateau State

At least 14 teenagers who were jogging along Tundun Maza road in Barkin Ladi, Plateau State, were run over and killed by a reckless hit-and-run driver, reports have said. NAN – The Plateau Police Command on Wednesday in Jos said it had arrested a 17-year-old minor who allegedly killed her husband over his sexual demands. The minor allegedly killed Lawal Bala, 26, in his sleep on their matrimonial bed on July 8. Nigeria’s military on Monday brought 18 security operatives before a court martial in Plateau State where they were charged with aiding terrorist organization Boko Haram. Two men killed, 50 cows stolen in Plateau state

Suspected militia in Plateau state on Tuesday attacked the Barkin Ladi local government area where they reportedly killed two people and stole about 50 cattle, according to the Vanguard. At least 15 people have been reported dead in separate attacks in villages located in Riyom local government area of Plateau state, reports have said. A baby boy, packed up in carton, was dumped in a refuse cart and burned to death in the Plateau state capital city of Jos. According to the Vanguard, witnesses report seeing an unidentified woman disposing of the box on Friday morning. Passers-by suspect the baby was set on fire after he was dumped in the garbage bin. Police in Jos, the Plateau state capital, on Easter Monday reported the recovery of explosives in a shop located in Anguwan Rogo. The discovery comes days after clashes between Atakar and Fulani herdsmen in neighboring Kaduna killed at least 19. The brutal murders of 19 people in Kaura local government area on Saturday in Kaduna was over the alleged poisoning of two cows, reports have said.
