Two Suspects Arrested in Connection to Beheading of Corpses in Abia State

Police officers in Abia State have arrested two suspects allegedly responsible for the beheading of two corpses that were kept at a local mortuary in Owerrinta, Isiala Ngwa Local Government Area of the state, the Vanguard reported. The corpses, a male and female, had been kept at the Might Moon Mortuary, where the suspects allegedly beheaded them at about 3.30 a.m. on 4 November. Dr Boniface Ubani, proprietor of the morgue, had reported the incident to the police on 5 November. In an effort to put Maghreb women on a level playing field in television, the U.N.’s Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has the joined the efforts to narrow the gender gap in Moroccan media. UNESCO’s Office in Rabat, the Medias Training Centre and the Casablanca School of Journalism and Communication organized a training workshop on gender sensitive scriptwriting on 10 and 11 November 2011 in Casablanca, Morocco.
