At age 18, American student Gabrielle Turnquest is the youngest person to be called to the Bar of England and Wales after passing her exams, Telegraph reports. The average lawyer takes the Bar Professional Training Course at age 27. The very impressive teenage says she will not work in the UK, however, but will be headed to the United States to qualify as a lawyer in her home country. Nigerian student jailed over sham marriage in the UK

A UK court has sentenced a Nigerian student to 12 months in jail after he was arrested last year for taking part in a sham marriage.
