4 workers dead, 25 injured in Lagos building collapse

Another tragic building collapse in Lagos on Monday has claimed at least four lives, the Associated Press reports.

According to the report, another 25 victims were injured in the attack. Emergency official, Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, general manager of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency said the building, located on upmarket Victoria Island, has been sealed off.

Workers injured in the collapse have been hospitalized.

Building collapses have been all too frequent in Lagos where builders often ignore safety regulations.
