Names of passengers, crew members aboard ill-fated chartered flight that crashed in Lagos

Officials have released the name of the 20 passengers and crew aboard the Associated Airline aircraft, which crashed in Lagos on Thursday morning.

The Akure-bound flight had been carrying the casket of the late Dr. Olusegun Agagu to his hometown in Ondo State where he was to be buried this week. Shortly after take off, the flight crashed in a field near the Murtala Muhammed International Airport.

The death toll is still uncertain. Witnesses at the site of the crash said only three survivors have been accounted for, but according to NEMA officials seven people survived and 13 have been confirmed dead.

Sahara Reporters reported that Associated Airline is owned by former Governor Lucky Igbinedion of Edo State. The passengers and crew aboard the flight have been listed below, they include the son of the late Dr. Agagu, Feyi Agagu, who survived the crash, as well as Deji Falae, son of Olu Falae, a politician.

Mr. Falae was reportedly one of the victims, but that is not confirmed.

  1. Capt. Yakubu
  2. Flight officer Oyinlola
  3. Engr. Soroh Ebiya
  4. Flight dispatcher Ibrahim
  5. Mr. Felix Latoya
  6. Cabin attendant Owolabi
  7. Cabin attendant Samson.
