Five people were killed and seven injured by unknown gunmen in the Zango area of Bauchi metropolis on Sunday evening

A community leader in the suburb told the Daily Trust: “The attackers targeted residents of a house where people used to assemble in the evening to play cards and gamble

“They came in a tricycle and started shooting sporadically killing five people on the spot and injuring several others who were taken to the hospital.”

There was no mention of arrests made in connection to the murders and no mention of whether or not the Boko Haram sect is behind the killings.
