Nigerian entertainer Iyanya has released the music video for his latest single “Ur Waist” featuring Emma Nyra. It is a sexy music video directed by the legendary Clarence Peters, and without a doubt “Ur Waist” will certainly get many club goers winding their waists to the hot beat, but that’s about all the substance you will find here.

The “Kurukere” singer puts little effort in the song. It is an enticing beat with a smattering of lyrics. The video has enough dancing beauties to be entertaining, but overall, I’d have to give this one a fail. I keep wondering if a time will come in the Nigerian music industry when all we’d have left are hot beats, sexy videos and no lyrics.

There is nothing remarkable about the artist’s vocal performance in the song, nothing memorable or timeless, except for his sampling of Michael Jackson’s “Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough”. I will be stunned if Iyanya spent more than an hour “writing” this song.

However, I suppose fans of the performer will enjoy the beat of the song and Iyanya’s signature dance moves. Watch and judge thee for thyselves. Remember, this was simply my humble opinion. Tell me what you think below!
