Photos! Lights, camera and catwalk at the African Fashion Week London 2012

Fashion waits for nothing and no one, not even the Olympics. The 2012 African Fashion Week in London created some buzz of its own at Spitalfields Market where Africa’s creative set put their best work on display.

African Fashion Week London (AFWL 2012) was a mix of trade fair and runway. Some 50 designers got their spotlight on the AFWL 2012 runway and dazzled guests and onlookers with vibrant fashions from the continent.

African Fashion Week London 2012 is a two day event that concludes on Saturday, August 4, so if you are in London and you just so happen to be a fashion lover, check it out at Spitalfields Market on Brushfield street in London.

And if you can’t make it, that’s alright too. Pilot Africa was on the scene and below are photos of some of the fabulous fashions we saw. Look out for our video coverage of the event!
