Nollywood veteran actress, Bimbo Akintola is back to the big screen, making her comeback in a new sizzling flick, Hoodrush.
The screen queen is set to appear alongside some new talent in the new film by Flipsyde Studios. Hoodrush is described as a musical thriller and tells the story of two brothers, “closely bonded by their love for music, but deeply separated by their means of success”. The duo decide to try their luck at a talent show, hoping to get discovered but they are met with few obstacles along the way.
Hoodrush stars emerging actors, O.C Ukeje, Gabriel Afolayan, Chelsea Eze, Ijeoma Agu, Lilian Byoma and a host of others. It is directed by Dimeji Abiola, CEO of Flipsyde and a newcomer to the Nollywood scene as well.
Both the writers and director for Hoodrush have hailed Akintola’s performance in the upcoming flick, saying it is “something people should watch out for. She gave the kind of performance only Bimbo Akintola can give”.
Hoodrush is set to hit cinemas on Friday, October 12, 2012.
