NAN – Two persons have been arrested after a bomb blast rocked an area in Obehira area of Okene, Kogi State on Sunday.

The suspects were said to have parked a car rigged with an Improvised Explosive Device at a filling station.

They had allegedly hoped the explosion would trigger mutiple blasts from the underground tanks at the filling station.

Spokesman for the National Emergency Management, Yushau Shuaibu, confirmed the incident.

He said no lives were lost while two persons were arrested in connection with the incident.

Shuaibu said the suspects were caught as they tried to flee the scene.
