Police rule out foul play in the death of Sage Stallone

An investigation is still ongoing into the sudden death of Sage Moonblood Stallone, the 36-year-old son of movie star Sylvester Stallone.

Sage, a filmmaker and actor, was found dead in his Hollywood apartment on Friday by his housekeeper. Police officials have determined that there was no foul play, but there are suspicions that the death was as the result of an overdose.

TMZ reported that an empty bottle of prescription pills were found near where Sage’s body was found, but there were no suicide notes and police officials have debunked the rumor that the death was a suicide.

George Braunstein, Sage’s lawyer, confirmed the sudden death of the Stallone’s oldest son. Braunstein said Sage’s death was a shock to all who knew him and reports of an overdose were just as surprising to the filmmaker’s friends and family.

“He was very creative, energetic and very full of life,” Braunstein told E! News.

Sage is Sylvester Stallone’s first son from his first marriage to Sasha Czack. He is survived by his brother Seargeoh and three half sisters Sophia, Sistine and Scarlet.

As a young boy of 14, Sage made his acting debut when he starred alongside his father in the 1990s flick “Rocky V”. The film was a flop.

Sage later starred in “Daylight” in 1996 and that was the end of the young actor’s career in front of the lens. He focused his attentions on being a filmmaker and was one of the co-founders of Grindhouse Releasing.

He had little interest in the Hollywood scene, preferring to spend his time out of the limelight.
