Check it out! Up and coming Nigerian entertainer May D had released a music video for his typical club hit “Ile Ijo”. May D, in his video description, said the techno beat will be sure to get fans “doing the azonto”. We think he may be right.

The video is energetic, the beats are danceable but not unique. There isn’t much else to the song as you’ve likely heard before in the slew of auto-tuned hits plaguing Nigeria’s music industry.

Nokia Danceathon winner, Kathy, and her crew feature on the video and there are cameo appearances from other Nigerian performers, including Davido, Shank and more.

The track is produced by Flip Tyce and the video directed by the very talented Clarence Peters. Watch it and rate it: hit or miss?
