Nigerian rapper and songwriter EFA has released another single, “E2DFA”. Described as “his most personal song to date,” the new rap track “E2DFA” is bold in its lyrics, leaves nothing untouched and is rather vulnerable.
EFA is rapping what he knows – his life, his experiences and overcoming challenges and insecurity in the music industry – even going so far as to include some political truth in his lyrics.
The “Number One” singer shows a different facet of his talent; “E2DFA” is far from formulaic and shows growth since his last Waka EP. In describing this song, the rapper, in a statement said the “no holds barred lyrics” bring to the fore his “conscious side”
“It’s just me attempting to express myself on subjects that matter to me as a person. I was in the studio talking about what’s been going on in my life and the country generally,” said EFA, who last featured on MI’s “Star” track from the Illegal Music II mixtape.
“E2DFA” was produced by D’tunes. The upcoming rap star, who is signed to Bayo Omisore’s Jus’ Kiddin’ 360, is set to release his first debut album in 2013.
