“Fed up” mom, Galina Ryabkova from Russia, tossed her two young children off a 15th-floor balcony on Sunday, Russian media reported.

The 30-year-old Ryabkova, who lives in the capital city of Moscow, was caught on surveillance video shorty after the incident. She was seen calm and emotionless as she went outside the apartment building to look at the lifeless remains of her sons, ages 4 and 7, RT news reported.

The surveillance video starts with a neighbour, bare-chested, going out to view the bodies, just out of frame of the video. Ryabkova then comes out; she is seen wearing a white t-shirt and jeans. She too goes out to seen the bodies before returning into the building where she sits calmly in the lobby as neighbours, visibly shocked by the tragic incident, stare disbelievingly at her.

“My wife woke me up and said that there were children falling out,” a neighbor told Life News, according to the RT. “We ran out and saw two children lying on the ground in front of the main door. Just at that time their mother was leaving the building. We asked her if these were her children and she replied, emotionlessly, ‘Yes, I threw them away.’”

Authorities soon arrived at the scene of the crime. According to the Investigative Committee spokesperson, Sergey Markin, Ryabkova first told authorities that her boys were now “angels in heaven”, before clamming up and refusing to say anything else.

There are speculations that Ryabkova, who had reportedly attempted suicide, killed her sons either because she was looking to divorce her husband or suspected infidelity on his part.

Her husband was away on a business trip at the time of the murders, Russian media reported. Ryabkova will be sent to a psychiatric hospital for evaluation and if convicted of murder, she could spend the rest of her life in jail.
