“Gossip Girl” star Blake Lively is taking on Gucci. The 24-year-old leggy blond has reportedly been named the new face of the Italian luxury brand’s new fragrance Premiére.
Gucci creative director Frida Giannini said Lively was chosen for her “unique style and charisma”. The “Savages” star was also noted for her movie-star quality.
“In conceiving this fragrance I was inspired by timeless Hollywood glamour and the iconic leading ladies of Hollywood’s golden era,” Giannini said in a statement.
Lively will also feature in the cinematic commercial, the Daily News reported. Nicolas Winding Refn, the director of the 2011 film “Drive” shot the spot, which will be screened at the Venice Film Festival on Sept. 1.
The screen star and style icon is a muse for some of the top names in fashion, including Karl Lagerfeld who named her the face of Chanel’s Mademoiselle handbag collection earlier this year.
“She’s a kind of American dream girl,” Lagerfeld said.
Famed red-sole designer, Christian Louboutin, also gave the fashionista his entire spring collection… you know, as a Valentine’s day gift.
