Life House in Lagos closes its doors, but not its heart

It has hosted great musicians, authors, artists, lively events and has given the Nigerian culture a platform from which to be seen and heard, but now the Life House is closing its doors.

The family owned establishment located in Victoria Island, Lagos, announced today in a newsletter that it will be shutting its doors for good on 30 June, 2012.

Sad news, sure, but the Life House says it is welcoming the change “with open arms and hearts as The Life House is evolving to greater things”.

In the statement from the founders, Ugoma and Dayo Adegoke, the couple announced that while the building at 33 Sinari Daranijo street will no longer be affiliated with The Life House come 30th of June, the establishment will be taking its culture, arts and entertainment mission on the road.

They told “Life Housers” to “look out for our monthly calendar and newsletters to stay updated on everything that’s going on”.

The Life House promised it will maintain its “vibe and flavour” on the move, assuring guests of the same warm camaraderie on the road that they have enjoyed at the House.

Founders of the Life House say starting 1 July 2012, guests can look forward to the following:
