NAN – The police in Enugu on Friday said they had rescued a seven-year-old girl, Kosisochukwu Akilo, who was kidnapped from her parents’ home on May 21, 2012 by a gang of armed robbers.

The spokesman for the state police command, Mr. Ebere Amaraziu, confirmed the development to newsmen in Enugu.

The girl was kidnapped on May 13 from where she was sleeping by the two armed men when her mother could not provide trinkets and cash demanded by the robbers.
