Screen stars from across Africa and spattering of Hollywood celebs lit up the New Expo Hall at the Eko Hotel and Suites where they gathered to celebrate the eighth annual African Movie Academy Awards, AMAA.

Dubbed the African Oscars, the event, which took place on Sunday night, celebrated the very best of African Cinema. From Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa and Rwanda, film makers and actors graced the red carpet and gushed their excitement at the night ahead.

Before the nervous nominees and supportive colleagues could charge in to the hall for the mega event, however, we get a chance to see them – all glitz and glamour – on the red carpet.
