Nigerian star entertainer D’Banj is set to perform at BBC Radio 1′s Hackney Weekend, one of the major outdoor events that celebrates the upcoming 2012 Olympic Games in London.

D’Banj will be performing alongside stars like American rapper Jay-Z who is headlining the show and pop princess, Rihanna, recently confirmeed as the second headliner.

Jay-Z is set to perform on the opening night, 23 June, with Riri’s performance following on June 24. The event will take place at London’s Hackney Marshes which seats up to 100,000 people.

Other acts confirmed to play during the event include Leona Lewis, David Guetta, Dappy, Jessie J, Emeli Sande and Tinie Tempah.
