Yom Hashoah, a day set aside to remember victims and honor survivors of the Holocaust, fell on April 11 this year and it coincided with the visit of the Czech Prime Minister, Jan Fischer. To honor the prime minister and commemorate Yom Hashoah, the Permanent Missions of Czech Republic to the United Nations in collaboration with Ramapo College, New Jersey organized a concert. The concert, arranged by Robert Convery and directed by Dr. Lisa Lutter, was performed by the CantaNOVA Chorale.
The concert was held at the Bohemian National Hall, and the chorale, led by Dr. Lutter, gave a stellar performance. I was present at the event and covered it extensively. The audio slideshow which includes an interview with Holocaust survivor Zdenka Klien, will be up on the UNA USA website on April 28th.
